BCCI Announces IPL 2021 Schedule with Full Fixtures List, Dates, Timings & Venues

The schedule of the most awaited twenty-twenty cricket tournament is out when the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took the initiative to announce the final IPL 2021 cricket matches for the entire season on this Sunday. According to the latest IPL 2021 schedule, the most exciting and thrilling season will begin from April 9th and end on May 29th.

In the first match that will be played in Chennai, Mumbai Indians will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore. The final (playoff) will take place between the two teams on Sunday, May 30th at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. There are five venues including Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, and Mumbai where all the 20-20 cricket matches will be conducted.

These venues will be used neutrally to conduct all the matches. Out of six venues, only the four will be used to conduct the matches for each team during the league stage. As per the recent report, these matches will take place in the 11 double headers whereas the timing of the afternoon matches will be 3:30 PM IST while 7:30 PM IST will be time for evening matches.

Approximately 10 matches will be hosted by each venue in Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata & Bengaluru out of the total 56 amazing league matches. Delhi and Ahmedabad will become the venues to host 8 matches each. All matches will be played at the neutral venues, as we told above and, this is, of course, one of the major highlights of the VIVO IPL 2021 for this year.

IPL 2020 was hosted by the BCCI in the UAE last year with all the needful and necessary safety protocols. However, the authorities of this leading cricket board has decided to host the most popular 20-20 tournament at home this year. They have taken this decision by keeping the health and safety of players and fans in mind.

The BCCI has tried to map the fixtures of the tournament in a way so that each team has to travel from one place to another three times during the league stage. The primary purpose of implementing this method is to reduce the commute and minimise the risk.
